LEWISVILLE MAN SENTENCED FOR POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

SHERMAN, TX – United States Attorney Matthew D. Orwig announced today that a 66-year-old Lewisville man has been sentenced to 78 months in federal prison for possession of child pornography in the Eastern District of Texas.

RAY SLAUGHTER pleaded guilty to using a computer to obtain and possess child pornography on January 16, 2007 and was sentenced today by United States District Judge Richard Schell.

According to information presented in court, during the course of a nation-wide investigation involving the distribution of child pornography through the internet it was revealed that Slaughter paid for a monthly subscription to a website and received numerous images of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Such images included pre-pubescent children victimized by sadistic and /or masochistic sexual conduct or other violence. Slaughter was indicted by a federal grand jury on October 12, 2006.
